Somehow, I couldn’t resist making up my own version of a scotch quarantini cocktail recipe. Since it feels like the world is on fire, I decided to go with a smokey scotch as the main liquor and flavor.

For this variation, I went with a scotch and vermouth which I found at my local Trader Joe’s (availability may vary by location). I’ll typically add traditional angostura bitters, but chocolate bitters can add a nice complex twist to this drink.

Smoked Quarantini Manhattan
2 oz Finlaggan scotch
3/4 oz sweet vermouth
couple dashes of bitters

Can be served neat or on the rocks (over ice). If neat is your preference, shake or stir with ice then discard/repurpose the ice.

For an extra fancy smokey quarantini, Laphroaig scotch is one of my favorites and would work great for this drink. Pair it with Cocchi Vermouth di Torino sweet vermouth and angostura bitters. Pinkies out!
